POST Houston, described as a cultural center, is located in Downtown Houston, and used to be the Barbara Jordan Post Office. There’s a rooftop park (Skylawn), concert venue, and a food hall.
This building is not Black owned, however, there are a few Black owned restaurants & food spots located in the food hall:

1. Lucy Pearl’s (vegan & gluten free options)
Southern-style bakery that serves cakes, pies, cookies, lemon bars, cake pops, macarons and more.

Fast casual West African restaurant with vegan options. Most of their menu is gluten free.

3. Thrive Juices (vegan options)
Smoothies, juices, acai bowls and more.

4. Sweets with L&L Cotton Candy
Gourmet cotton candy & custom made party treats. Congratulations to Sweets with L&L for being the 2nd Prize Winner of the HEB Quest for Texas Best 2023 competition.

5. Twisted Grilled Cheese
Specializing in gourmet sandwiches (like ‘The Truffle Mushroom’ and ‘The Smokehouse Brisket’) with various sides and a selection of milkshakes. Twisted Grilled Cheese recently opened this new location in summer 2023.

6. Myoa Cookies
Luxury dessert experience featuring organic & gourmet vegan cookies. They recently had their grand opening early April 2025. Owner, Myowa Sobamowo was also at the Chopd & Stewd Festival back in 2023.

POST Houston Events
From rooftop farm events to concerts, there’s always something going on here.
In September 2023, the building hosted Chopd and Stewd Festival, a West African food & cultural event created by Ope Amosu, the owner of ChòpnBlọk.

Sunday – Wednesday: 11 am – 9 pm CT
Thursday – Saturday 11 am – 10 pm CT
Parking at POST Houston
There is a large onsite parking lot that’s:
- free for the first hour then $5 per hour, Monday – Thursday
- free for the first 20 min then $5 per hour, Friday – Sunday
There is also street parking available in the surrounding downtown Houston area.
